Industrial Piping Underground Installation Manual

The minimum recommended depth for all Pexgol (PE-Xa) pipe classes is 60 cm. This prevents mechanical damage to the pipe. The designer may reduce this depth if covering the pipe only to prevent solar heating.

In low-temperature areas, the designer may increase installation depth in order to prevent the transported fluids from freezing.

The width can be increased to allow for more comfortable work in the trench, if required. Keep in mind the minimum recommended trench depth (60 cm) to prevent pipe damage.

Please contact the applications engineer to find each the maximum installation depth allowed for each pipe class.

For a route change (e.g. 90° angle), dig the trench with a suitable radius.

See the following table for the minimum required trench width for all Pexgol (PE-Xa) pipes.
